The voice under the boxing wood

During the 18 days of the festival, all the participating artists will follow the festival's arrangement to conduct site research, visit the sites, and consider their proposals in Thailand. When I went to the second site, I was attracted by this wooden frame in the sea. I asked the locals what it was used for, and their answer was something I could not have imagined: it was an installation for entertainment purposes. The locals would sit on the ends of the wood and play a boxing game, where the first one to fall into the water would lose.

I decided to capitalize on this boxing installation, and the next day I found a local Thai woman to hold up a mirror to reflect light back at me throughout the duration of my work, following my movements. I whistled and walked backwards into the sea to a wooden rack, took off my clothes and hung them on the rack towards the sea and waited for them to dry slightly, then put them on and walked back to the shore.

The local woman who was holding up the mirror for me got tired and was replaced by Stein Henningsen, the artist.
